The HR-57 Foundation
HR-57 Center for the Preservation of Jazz & Blues takes its name from House Resolution first passed by Congress in 1987. This Resolution (H.Con.Res 57) designated Jazz as "a rare and valuable national American treasure". It's a place where aspiring, professional musicians and listeners gather to enjoy the genres.
The HR-57 Foundation is the non-profit side of what we do. It works with other non-profits, area Colleges and Universities as well as public schools by offering a venue for lectures, seminars and other music activities as well as offering to students live performing opportunities. In the past we have worked with organizations such as the Close Up Foundation, George Washington University and local high schools to its history and contributions to the worlds' repertoire of music.
To keep this alive we need tax deductible contributions from people like you. If you would like to contribute any amount please click on the donation button below. Thank you for your support.
HR-57 will Continue to provide the music Community and Jazz musician's the support we always provided for the past twenty one years .We hope to move to a site in NW. We thank the community for the support we've recieved and any donation you can give.
